2.1.88 err msgs: "alloc_skb..."; RPC/NFS; otherwise PS2 55SX works

My comments on 2.1.88 running on my diskless IBM PS/2 Model 55 SX,
as compared to 2.0.33+MCA patches (of 2.0.32):

I do not have an opportunity to test the hard disk ESDI driver since I
am not using it and unplugged the drive to reduce pollution, however
support is compiled in so I could simply reconfigure the hardware if
there needs to be an ESDI test at this time. Please inform me.

NFS Root LILO boot options are not quite compatible with 2.1.88. Besides
the change of name of "nfsaddrs" to "ip" (even though there is a
backwards compatible alias), there are a number of real differences to
watch out for:

* When "::" is used as the netmask, it will not work under 2.1.88 where
it does in 2.0. You must specify a netmask to make it work. Simple
enough but not documented or seamless.
* When "%s" is used inside the mount point string, it uses "(none)" under
2.1.88 where it works properly in 2.0. Once again, specifying the
address explicitly works, but is also counter to documentation and
definately not seamless. ("Server returned error -13 when mounting
/.../(none)" ... when %s used ... sorry my notes are scribbled, but
you get the point)

After that, everything booted normally, much to my enjoyment. There are
some errors that are unique to 2.1.88, which you may read below;
note the ones I marked ``Unusual'', and kindly ignore the ``Unconfigured''
lines; please also note the ``Superfilous'' ones which are modules
that get loaded that I don't need, probably also a configuration issue
(I haven't had time to check into it yet):

I believe that the RPC errors you see above are mostly to do with my
mounting NFS from other hosts, but they show up nicely when I do "df"
and the files access perfectly, so I do not know what the error
messages are about.

The alloc_skb error has shown up each time I've booted, whether successful
or not.

The portmap version on the remote host is RedHat's 5.0 RPM
portmap-4.0-8. I think I'm also using RPM nfs-server-2.2beta29-2.

So far, X seems to work quite nicely.
