while we're on the subject, i'd like to ask a question/make some
comments
one thing that needs updating is the documentation to the
raidtools-0.41...
i know, this is alpha/beta software, and documentation is not very high
on the list (it never is very high on my list even in production code),
but if we could change the sections saying that you have to add the
patch that comes with it, and that the md driver is included in the
kernel....to something like the base md is in the kernel, yes, however
you cant compile the raidtools to use without the patch (not included)
(although you can use raidtools that are already compiled, on a kernel
that doesnt have the patch....i wonder why that is)........
which just leads to another question.....why is that patch seperate, and
why is the md driver included in the kernel if you cant even get the
raidtools compiled (to interface with the md driver) without the
associated patch? shouldnt all the md stuff be in a patch, or all the
md stuff included in the kernel?
just wondering....
