Stupid question here.. why are you trying to unmount the mount point,
and not the DEVICE? that's probably the main reason why you're getting the
panic.

I think this is also normal, as I have devices dated back as far as
June 1994, including /dev/full and /dev/kmem. I'm using all IDE, and /dev/hda1
is dated Apr. 27 1995. MOF, /dev/hd* is dated the same. I'm using Slackware
3.3 as well. It's not anything to fret over, but if you want to look into it,
please do, by all means. :)
