I can't remember the origing of the ulaw conversion tables since they were
added to the driver almost 5 years ago. However I think they were copied
from a sample program by Sun.

These tables have been replaced by the correct ones in the latest driver
versions. It should appear in the kernel as soon as Linus has time to
integrate it.
