Something that might be of interest to people in general: David Korn
has been working on an implementation of the POSIX API for NT. It is
called UWIN, and is available from
http://www.research.att.com/sw/tools. I just downloaded it today, and
it seems to be fairly comprehensive. Free for academic and research
use (and probably able to be licensed for commercial use for a
reasonable fee ;) It might save you a bit of work.
