Hmm, this is odd. I have had Netscape 2.0 running for about 10 days. I am
not using pppd at the moment, but diald with cslip. Netscape stays running
while I'm offline, which is all day while I'm at work. In fact, sometimes
I'll run it locally to test some java code when I'm not even connected to
the 'net.

Considering that you run pppd and I don't, and you have trouble and I
don't, it's more likely that than the actual IP code in the kernel. FYI,
I'm running 1.3.52 here. No ethernet, no SCSI, no CDROM, no sound.
Barebones, vanilla kernel.
