You tell me:

hdb: QUANTUM FIREBALL EX12.7A, 12159MB w/418kB Cache, CHS=1550/255/63,

The 12G does at 12.5MB/s.

No settings changed anywhere, default kernel settings. Had to fiddle

the bios here to make it do that.
