Why keep people always using old kernels? Any specific reason for that?
2.2.17 is the latest stabel kernel.

it seems like you have already applied the patch. Or the patch
is for another kernel revision.

try to obtain a recent version of the RAID patches and
use exactly the kernel revision the patch was maid for.
