Exmaple to disable a eth0 ?
When I do this the interface is still in the active state table.

This is a example for removing an aliased interface ?
This does appear to remove the aliased interface from the active
state list .

If these are an example to remove a aliased interface only ie: 'eth0'
at 1> was a mis-type . What would be a method using 'ifconfig' to
actually remove 'eth0' from the active state list ?
