Kernel 2.3.10 Compile Problem

Hackers,

In order to get my 2.3.10 kernel to compile, I had to comment out lines 378 -
381 of drivers/block/loop.c:
*******
if (!inode->i_op->bmap) {
printk(KERN_ERR "loop: device has no block access/not implemented\n");
goto out_putf;
}
********
Otherwise I get the following error:

loop.c: In function `loop_set_fd':
loop.c:378: structure has no member named `bmap_R9684f74d'
make[2]: *** [loop.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.3.10/drivers/block'
make[1]: *** [_modsubdir_block] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.3.10/drivers'
make: *** [_mod_drivers] Error 2

I'm running an HP Omnibook 7100 Pentium II 266 w/ 96M RAM. I downloaded the
full bz kernel.
