You can not, of course.

Hmm. You must add aic7xxx to initrd or right to kernel, of course. How kernel
is supposed to find your adapter without driver ???

Since you said basically nothing about problem (no .config, no version of
programs (do you even read Changes file ?), no version of SuSE) the only guess
is just you do not compiled aic7xxx in kernel nor you added it to initrd ...
