This is properly an item for linux-serial@vger.rutgers.edu or
digilnux@dgii.com.
Use the builtin driver code, not the beta from ftp.
Add the append="digiepca=E,PC/64Xe,D,16,200,D0000" line
to /etc/lilo.conf per .../linux/Documentation/digiepca.txt.
Run lilo and reboot.
Run "digiDload v" and let me know how it comes out.
