Re: 2.2.0: module unresolved symbols

I did a bit more research into this and found the following:

[root@dmc /root]# modprobe sound
/lib/modules/2.2.0/misc/sound.o: unresolved symbol isa_dma_bridge_buggy
/lib/modules/2.2.0/misc/sound.o: unresolved symbol
interruptible_sleep_on_timeout
/lib/modules/2.2.0/misc/sound.o: unresolved symbol __pollwait
sound: No such file or directory
sound: No such file or directory

I'm not sure what the last 2 errors are but the first 3 are obvious.
I'm missing some symbols. But When I do:

[root@dmc /root]# ksyms -a | grep __pollwait
c012aaf8 __pollwait_R__ver___pollwait

[root@dmc /root]# ksyms -a | grep bridge_buggy
c0203e94 isa_dma_bridge_buggy_R__ver_isa_dma_bridge_buggy

[root@dmc /root]# ksyms -a | grep interruptible_sleep
c010f090 interruptible_sleep_on_Rsmp_9a9975fe
c010f0ec
interruptible_sleep_on_timeout_R__ver_interruptible_sleep_on_timeout

Note the similar symbols but with the extra tacked on _R_ver_XXXXX.

Can anyone point me in a direction of where to find info on this.

BTW I stopped running kerneld (RedHat has it in several places)
which got rid of my syslog errors about kmem problems.

Thanks
