I have heavily tried to get the sound working with
my GUS PnP but playing wav-Files produces only a
scattered and "echoed" output and a
Sound: DMA (output) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?
in the syslog file. Even IRQ/DMA combinations, which have
worked with the ultrasound driver (Perex) under 2.1.78
(which is not compilable with new kernels -- sigh) produce
this distortion.
Is there anybody out there which gets the GUS running?
Or is the soudn system broken in 2.1.125?
(this is why I am writing to this list...)
