es1371 support

When compiling es1371.c in the drivers/sound dir, I get these messages:
es1371.c:2691: initvol causes a section type conflict
make[3]: *** [es1371.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** [first_rule] Error 2
make[1]: *** [_subdir_sound] Error 2
make: *** [_dir_drivers] Error 2

I have egcs version 1.0.3, it's a Slackware system, so I've got libc5. Any
Ideas? And yes, I _do_ have a 1371 Ensonique Audio PCI.
