For what it's worth (probably nothing), I've seen this exact same
problem on a much older kernel. On a 266MHz AMD K6 with a 3Com 3C905B
card, running kernel 2.0.18 (with the latest version of the
Vortex/Boomerang drivers downloaded from Mr. Becker's site), I see the
exact same timeout problem. The kernel's ancient, but the drivers are as
current as possible (I just downloaded them yesterday).
Here as well, the card works great under Win95.
