BTW, what is the proper way to set up multicast routes on multihomed
machines so the packets go to all interfaces capable of multicasting? For
example, I'd like to know how to perform `ping NTP.MCAST.NET' on a
multicast router running `mrouted' to get responses from all NTP clients
attached to any of its interfaces an not only from these attached to,
say, eth0.

$ uname -sr
Linux 2.1.117
