now and then a process runs away...forks like mad. i'd like to be able to
catch it with my fingers before it crashes the system. having the extra
leeway of more processes would definitely help.

besides the fact of the great 640K is enough for anyone thing...we're
building for the future, not just today. it is very easy to get in to the
high nnn digits for a normal process count on several of my servers.
