My biggest worry with your approach Larry is everyone single developer
ends up with their own Linux. Do you sync to Davem linux, Linus linux,
Alan linux etc.

I can already solve my problems now by declaring myself to be the
chief developer of 'peoples linux' and forking the tree. Thats bad enough
I really dont want to see such things happen but the idea of it happening
implicitly in the version management is worrying
