`/sbin/mount -avt nonfs' which is in my rc.S, does not mount /proc,
/cdrom and /nt. Here's my /etc/fstab
# device directory type options
/dev/hda1 /nt msdos defaults 1 1
/dev/hda2 / ext2 defaults 1 1
/dev/hda3 swap swap defaults 1 1
/dev/hdb /cdrom iso9660 user
/dev/fd0 /floppy msdos user
none /proc proc defaults 1 1
I used the same config as with 2.1.97, and had no problem with it.
