Hi,

Just before I switched off my computer yesterday evening I noticed a process
hanging. (Linux 2.1.89, gcc 2.7.2.1, libc5, Pentium 133, 32MB Ram, 64MB swap,
Adaptec 2940U,swap is splitted in two 32MB sections, one on a 1GB IBM
DPES-31080 and one on a 2 GB IBM DORS-xxxxxx).

The process is the rc564 challange Linux client, running with nice 19.
The process was hanging solidly for 8 hours judging from its last log
entries. It refused to be killed by SIGINT and SIGKILL, and to be attached
by strace -p.
I've spent the whole afternoon debugging 'wine' (large, memory and
diskintensive), so the rc564 process could have been swapped out completely
(and was, judging from VmRSS).

I've been using the same configuration (kernel, process runs, etc.) for the
last 20 releases with no hanging rc564.

I've noticed no errormessages in the logfiles.

I couldn't reproduce it, sorry.

Ciao, Marcus
