A version of 'reboot' that doesn't care if init is running, will even
properly dismount disks and reboot a Linux system even if you are using
a shell instead of init, is available via ftp.

ftp://boneserver.analogic.com/pub/downloads/linux/reboot.tar.gz
boneserver is 204.178.40.210 is the Name Server is dorked.

Cheers,
Dick Johnson
