Yecch! :) No, don't do this. Sure, it works, but IPsec (the IETF standard
for IP-level encryption) is much faster and more elegant. John Ioannidis
has developed IPsec kernel patches for 2.0 kernels; 2.1.x support is in
the works. Check out for more info.
