The avoid them. Pick a free toolkit like EZWGL - its a bit of a rough toolkit
but its free software so you can add any small number of control panel
widgets you need. Actually I think EZWGL has everything you need for a control
panel anyway. Its also got a set of nifty 3dcanvas stuff but you don't have
to use that.
