When I run an xanim .avi which is basically my test of knowning when sound
is working, I get the following error in my syslog:
Sound DMA (output) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?
last message repeated 3 times
last message repeated 6 times
While it is playing, I can hear the audio break thru for a very brief 1/2
second or so every once in a while. The last time I had this problem, a
reboot seemed to correct the problem. Though this time, my system was
recently rebooted so I find it strange that its showed up already. The
only other thing the SB16 is used for is playing audio CD's.
When running from Windows 95 or NT 4.0, sound is working great.
