Not really. The typical configuration[i] in a professional environment is one
that reflects the desire for maximum performance. Thats a VCS with remote
checkout, and fast local disk, or for the cheaper inclined a single very high
performance compile server and a pile of cheap desktop PC's running whatever
happens to suit.
