I'm not sure what the name server has to do with anything. When I
attempt to login using an internet address I have the same problem. The
patch I posted fixes the problem, not the symptom.

Also, as far as I can tell, my patch is similar to the patch distributed
with the modules package for 1.2.13 kernels. As far as I can tell, these
patches caused the 1.2.13 kernels to connect immediately.
