Not at all. I have some DECstations running Ultrix as the kernel but
with nearly everything else replaced by GNU stuff (plus X from the
Consortium). An Ultrix-based GNU system as it were. I've GNUifying
commercial OSes since before there was Linux. I'd rather have a
complete free OS, of course, but GNU software certainly isn't useless
without Linux.
