Messages in 1.3.69 - problem?

(Sorry if this comes through twice - I just realized I have some
misconfigured software :-( )

I am getting the following messages

eth0: Missed interrupt, status then 2011 now 2011 Tx 00 Rx 3a36.
ICMP redirect from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

a lot from 1.3.69. I just moved from 1.3.20 to 1.3.69, and suddenly
started getting these messages. I looked back in my logs, and I have
had these messages before, but not as often (and they weren't reported
to the console). Is this a problem? If so, what can I do to fix it?
If not, what can I do to stop getting the messages on the console? They
are rather annoying!
