Howdy!

I am having the same problem. I upgraded from a 486-66 non pnp
motherboard to a Award BIOS PNP motherboard and now X11 wont work. I have
an ASUS p55TP4XE motherboard with AWARD BIOS 115 (brand new) and a
Diamond Stealth 64 Video VRAM TI3026 ramdac. When I start up X the
screen just goes blank after changing video modes.

I have tried everything I can think of. I flashed in a new BIOS,
I have set tons of different CMOS options, tried the newest XFree86
beta. Does anyone have any ideas? It all worked fine in my 486. I
have tried kernels 1.2.13, 1.3.56, and 1.3.62 all with the same results.

Thanks, Joel Young jdyoung@erinet.com
