'top' question

Just checking if this is a local problem between my 3 linux computers, of
if it is widespread.

Somewhere in between v1.3.43 and the current (1.3.62?) kernel releases,
my 'top' stopped functioning. I now get a floating point error everytime
I attempt to execute it and get the following result:
---------
12:21am up 12:22, 2 users, load average: 0.14, 0.03, 0.01
29 processes: 28 sleeping, 1 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped
CPU states: 7.7% user, 6.0% system, 13.7% nice, 86.3% idle
Mem: 0K av, 0K used, 0K free, 0K shrd, 0K buff
Swap: 0K av, 0K used, 0K free

Floating point exception
bratshb:~$
-----------

Thanks for any help.
