I have had similar problems with zgv. It sometimes goes waco and locks up
the graphics card. I thought that the vc function keys didn't work when,
in fact, they were (it was only the monitor that could not reflect the
chance because of the card lockup). However, the only thing that I have
been able to do is 'shutdown -r now' and reboot the machine. It hasn't
happened in quite a while so I have had no incetive to try anything else,
like maybe killing the process.
Anyone know how to restore the graphics card to a 'normal' state?
