I have found an indication as to why my 486 would hang when
after booting 1.3.62. Nornally when I tried to boot my system
with 1.3.62, my system would hang after logging into either a
xterm or a vc session. My PPP link to the ISP is started at
boot time by diald (version 0.11). If I start the PPP link
manually without diald, the system performs normally and my
ISP link works okey.
I wonder what is the apparent problem between diald and the
1.3.62 kernel? I have been using with good results the 0.11
version of diald ever since it came out.
Cheers!
Bill
