Ever since I started using it way back in 1.3.19, up to the current version,
1.3.42, AppleTalk has had the same problem.
Services continue to function until some random point is reached. At this
point, these messages appear in the system log:
Nov 20 21:19:13 cnnpc97134 atalkd[80]: as_timer gateway 9105.41 down
Nov 20 21:19:13 cnnpc97134 atalkd[80]: as_timer gateway 9100.1 down
Nov 20 21:19:43 cnnpc97134 atalkd[80]: as_timer gateway 9100.1 down
Nov 20 21:19:43 cnnpc97134 atalkd[80]: as_timer last gateway down
after this, no AppleTalk services function until a reboot is performed.
After that, AppleTalk services work fine again.
Has anyone fixed this yet? Here at CNN we are trying to get AppleTalk
running in a production project, but this is forcing us to write Linux out
of the project. Any help would be appreciated.
