Kerneld support

Is kerneld support going to appear in 1.3.xx kernels anytime
soon? I've grown used to it but I'd also like to upgrade mainly
because of sound module and shared writeable mappings.

Modules-1.2.8 sais that it should be in 1.3.xx series.
Anyone working on this? Anyone even INTEND to work on this?

I'm probably not enough of a kernel hacker. In fact, I seem
to recall that there was some discussion about this matter
and there were some problems in upgrading the patches that come
with Modules-1.2.8.

Now everyone has forgotten again. If anyone begins to do it,
I'll be happy to test.
