I just ran a make config on the new 1.3.36 kernel, and got the following message when I ran the make config. Everything went fine until I got to the sound driver section.. then...

However, I made the zImage anyways, and when the make got to the /drivers/sound directory it promted for the sound config and then continued.
Also, the sound driver for the Sound Blaster 16 dos work now..
