The system writes this file upon bootup... It is not related to the
kernel, just your init files... Comment out these lines in rc.S

Setup the /etc/issue and /etc/motd to reflect the current kernel level:
echo "`/bin/uname -a | /bin/cut -d\ -f1,3`. (POSIX)." > /etc/motd
