Yes, we need to get this down again. What compiler and compiler
flags are you using? Could you retry with the following ripped
from include/linux/compiler.h:

#define inline __inline__ __attribute__((always_inline))
#define __inline__ __inline__ __attribute__((always_inline))

I'd especially be interested in the fs/ numbers after this.

Also -Os on both would be quite cool.
