The reason for this is because sysrq_enabled is in keyboard.c which is
only compiled into the kernel when you have VT support. Vojtech can
you with linus tree use USB keyboards independent of VTs? Do you think
its possible to make a patch against linus tree that allows sysrq
independent of VT support.

Q: Why did they deprecate a.out support in linux?
A: Because a nasty coff is bad for your elf.
