Hello,

since 2.3.99pre6-6 I observe that with one of my machines floppy access
isn't possible. Other machines work well even with newer versions.

Up to 2.3.99pre6-5 all machines can access the floppy correctly.

With the erroneous machine syslog is filled with the following messages :
[2.3.99pre7] :
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: Trying to lock fdc while usage count=0
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: VFS: Disk change detected on device fd(2,0)
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: floppy0: fractionary current count b=0 s=0
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: addr=0, length=0
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: st=0 ast=0 mse=18 msi=18
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: ssize=1 SIZECODE=2
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: command=e6 SECTOR=1 HEAD=0, TRACK=0
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: buffer drive=0
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: buffer track=-1
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: buffer_min=0
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: buffer_max=0
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0
May 13 01:18:20 (none) kernel: VFS: Disk change detected on device fd(2,0)

Who does have a patch for that behaviour ? Further info on request.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / kind regards

Frank Bernard
