Im desperate for some help here!!!!!
i provided some log entries below.
i am experiencing frequent lockups average about a once a week for the
past 3-4 months now
since moving from a 2.0.36 kernels to 2.2.x from 2.2.12 through
2.2.15 on a moderately busy webservers(2 different). i posted something a
month ago to this list and heard back from several individuals who are
experiencing the same type of exact hard lock problems since moving to the
2.2.x kernels!!!! The more busy the server the more frequent lockups!
(150-200 daemons)
before the move to 2.2.x i had uptimes of 6 months or more, now i average
about 7-10days before a total hard freeze on the same hardware! 2 seperaet
systems 1 scsi, one ide... in fact the load is now 1/2 as it was before
on the older kernel!
Each time a crash happens ive noticed the same type bizarre corrupt
entries in the apache logs. it will be exactly like:
current entry...
current entry...
corrupted entry...
old entries (from a day or 2 before...)
old entries...
.
.
.
crash/hard lock, keyboard does not respond...
Here is an example of real log data...
there is current log data, and a previous log....
now i even once per day competely STOP/Restart the apache server!
which makes it even more bizarre seeing OLD Data suddenly appearing!
Notice the corrupt entry at: 63.225.181.5
i can provide similar pattern for each crash!
