SMP powering off doesn't seem to work.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I'm told to pass "apm=power-off" to my SMP kernel in order to have the
machine power off at shutdown, but it doesn't seem to work.

If I disable the second CPU (motherboard jumper) I can boot the same
kernel in UP mode with APIC enabled and APM will power the board down on
shutdown.

I'm using kernel 2.2.14 and 2.3.99-pre6.

The board is a dual socket 7 with a 430HX chipset.
