More problems with pre7-4

Hello

I'm having problems with pre7-4 and floppy disk access. Not sure this
isn't hardware, but a reboot seems to solve it, so i don't suppose it
is...

After say 24 hours of uptime, the floppy drive can be mounted, but, when
i attempt to access the mount point, it says:

[root@WoodBox /mnt]# cd floppy
bash: floppy: Input/output error

Any ideas?
