They will need to have unique identifiers. If this is a new SCSI
thing, the SCSI sub-system may not know about them yet. So code will
need to be added to obtain this information. Once that code is ready,
I can create a /dev/scsi/identifiers/ directory (or whatever) which
has symlinks to the device directories.

The plan I outlined (see the archives), is specifically for
filesystems which have UUIDs or labels. We want that scheme anyway,
because things have to work for IDE and USB discs as well. And we
really want human-friendly names (i.e. labels).

I see no reason we can't have /dev/scsi/identifiers/ as well.
