interruptible rw semaphores?

Hi,

My understanding of Linux implementation of rw semaphores is that it is
currently impossible to interrupt down_write() and down_read(), i.e. I
need to write new primitives
down_write_interruptible()/down_read_interruptible().

Is this correct?

Any pointers or ideas welcome.
