This is a dual PIII with an Intel motherboard. I haven't been able to
run any kernel since 2.3.47. With 2.3.99-pre4 and pre5 I get the
following while at startup an `rm' command is running (in rc.sysinit):
Uli, what compiler are you using to build the kernel?
