Ok, some experiments got me to some tentative answers...

Page aligning got it to work... and seems reasonable now that I think
about it... Is this requirement _supposed_ to be there?

Experimentally determined: yes, if the above alignment is satisfied...

Perhaps adding a comment or two regarding this would be helpful...?
