I get the following errors trying to compile 2.3.99pre1 on x86:

gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -DCPU=686 -march=i686 -fno-strict-aliasing -c -o usb-storage.o usb-storage.c
usb-storage.c: In function `storage_probe':
usb-storage.c:1739: `__this_module' undeclared (first use in this function)
usb-storage.c:1739: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
usb-storage.c:1739: for each function it appears in.)
usb-storage.c:1454: warning: unused variable `prev'
usb-storage.c: In function `usb_stor_exit':
usb-storage.c:1789: warning: unused variable `ptr'
make[3]: *** [usb-storage.o] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux/drivers/usb'

Please advise.
