Greetings,

answering the question of Andries, I'm sending the output of several
commands that he asked me do to gather more information. I hope
that'll be helpful. Any other test that I can run, just ask me.

These tests were run under kernel 2.2.14, without specifying linear mode
nor trying to force the geometry in lilo.conf

I've tried to force the configuration in the lilo.conf file ( setting
the heads, sectors and cylinders ) with no success. I also didn't have
any success specifying the linear option.
Before somebody asks me, yes, I did run /sbin/lilo after modifying the
settings in the /etc/lilo.conf file :-)

Any help will be appreciated, thanks

Hugo
