pre-2.0.7 and Minix fs

All,

I can confirm a serious problem with the operation of the Minix file
system under the most recent kernel (2.0.7). Any attempt at overwriting
an existing file on either a floppy or ramdisk volume formatted for
Minix locks the machine solid! This is a real showstopper and needs
fixing immediately. FWIW, I am loading the Minix fs as a module,
however this has never caused any problems in the past.

Also, in followup to some reports of misbehavior of smbfs, I am seeing
no problems at all with it when mounting a WfW 3.11 box under Linux. It
_is_ important to use a '-m 1024' flag on the smbmount command line, or
terrible things can happen on writes to the Windows machine..
